"I truly cannot recommend the Next Rung Productions playwright mentorship program enough. It is the sole reason I consider myself a playwright. Before working with Harrison Young, I lacked structure and a system to rely on to actually complete a play. With his help, I have now completed a full length play and have started several others! I am so grateful I was able to work with Harrison and I look forward to seeing what stories come through this program!"

FEEDBACK HIGHLIGHTS
The table reading for A ROOM FULL OF MEGAN FOXES received the following comments in its talkback session:
“Darkly humorous cosmic horror for sure. The horror of both being watched and not being seen.”
“Modern feminine take of NO EXIT.”
“[A ROOM FULL OF MEGAN FOXES] sets the tone for the commodification of these women – they’re consumable, they can be replaced very easily.”
“The name [Megan Fox] as a tactic in the script is conjoining all of these people under the same roof, providing a consistent identity, and seeing how consistent identity breaks apart.”
“I liked that [the Therapist] is selfish. I like that she had her own motivations for what she is doing, and that she knew something that the rest of them didn’t know.”
“Going into the second act, I felt like I was being fucked with pretty hard. [...] Psychological horror, here we go. I’ve been to immersive performances before where it’s around you and you’re in the set with them as part of the performance, and it just blew my mind for a minute. There was a bit of THE SHINING-feeling.”
“I love that. All the traditional absurdism in the play, like all the weird stuff happening in the play, I love all that. I think that’s a lot of fun. [...] It was like Ionesco, right, like actual absurdism, which I think is really really cool.”

Helena Jordan is an actor, dog lover, and now a playwright. She primarily enjoys asking and answering philosophical questions like "Is this too many curse words for this scene?" She especially loves finding new creative outlets that allow her to keep the Thoughts at bay.
A ROOM FULL OF MEGAN FOXES
by Helena Jordan
A ROOM FULL OF MEGAN FOXES is a surreal exploration of vulnerability and voyeurism. Women attend group therapy and they, along with their therapist, face the pressures of unmasking the hard way.
**Due to adult language and body horror, this is recommended for mature audiences only.**
